George Dordevic specialises in the conservation and restoration of oil paintings, works on paper, sculptures, murals and picture frames. We have been located in Brussels since 1985, and more recently in Teddington and enjoy an outstanding reputation for quality, service and integrity, while serving major art galleries, auction houses and collectors and museums in Europe and beyond.
In 1985, George Dordevic — Atelier Dordevic — began in the enclosed porch of an antique house in the heart of Brussels. He founded the company himself, as a former object conservator who had worked in collaboration with the Royal Museums of Fine Arts. During the first years of business the company restored objects for the Royal Palace, Museum and Library, paintings and statues in the ‘Palais de Justice’.
Over a period of years, George has had the privilege to work with customers from France, Italy and the United Kingdom, and has done numerous restoration projects, gaining rare and valuable experience of restoring paintings, works on papers and canvas, Franco-Belgian comics (bandes dessinée), sculptures and murals as part of conservation and restoration projects.
